There are so many different varieties of Aglaonema. At one point I counted 32 different Aglaonema varieties available through the Florida growers and have listed some of them on this page. You may hear Aglaonema called Chinese Evergreen. Chinese Evergreen is the common name for the indoor Aglaonema house plant.

Having just recently looked at the availability of Aglaonema plant varieties, some of those Aglaonema listed in this page may be out-of-production. Just an FYI as of April of this year. There is also likely to be new varieties of Aglaonema plant since this was updated!

A most diverse house plant group, it seems the tropical house plant producers are always coming up with a new and improved Aglaonema plant. Sometimes these new varieties are healthy and robust. Sometimes they develop problems and they just stop growing them. See pictures below for some of those Aglaonema varieties. An attractive, easy care plant, Aglaonema is on just about every list of best indoor house plants. Aglaonema house plants can be maintained at the lower light levels often found in the home or office. Although there are many varieties of this plant, the care for all Aglaonema plants is very similar.

Some of the more common Aglaonema plant varieties are the Aglaonema Emerald Beauty (Maria), Silver Queen and the Aglaonema Silver Bay. One of the more colorful types, the Aglaonema Siam, is showing up more often. Aglaonema house plants have a bush-like or clumping growth and, depending on the pot size, can be from 8 inches to 4 feet in height.
